Jo & Patrick / Ballydugan Mill Wedding
Jo & Patrick’s awesome wedding at Ballydugan Mill. Ballydugan Mill wedding photos.
I love a Ballydugan Mill Wedding! It’s a beautifully restored 18th Century Flour Mill, just outside Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, full of unique charm and character.
Ballydugan Mill Wedding Photos
It’s always an honour to be asked to photograph the wedding of someone else in the wedding biz (Jo is the brains and talent behind Familiar Joy Wedding Films), and even better when it’s someone I know and have worked with before. So as soon as Jo asked me to be the photographer at her and Patrick's wedding I knew that it would be a seriously relaxed and fun-filled day, and it didn’t disappoint! The reception was held at the beautiful Ballydugan Mill, and despite being a little cold, the weather was great so we could make the most of the beautiful winter light. I loved so much about this wedding, the laughs and friendliness, the little details, the fantastic speeches, the VW campers, and of course an amazing couple!

2017 Review
So, here it is, my end of year review! A few of my favourites from my photography journey in 2017. And what a year it has been, I got to meet and photograph a bunch of wonderful people, travel round the world a bit, and had a blast while doing it!

I really love getting to travel around the country and and finding new places to shoot. This year I got to adventure to lots of great spots from the north coast to the Mourne Mountains and everywhere inbetween.
“We’re so thankful we chose Peter to be our photographer. He captured our day perfectly and we’re grateful for the photographs we get to keep for a lifetime!”
I stay at every wedding until an hour after the first dance. There's so much going on at that time it's great to be able to capture so many great moments. It also gives us a chance to get outside and take a few more photos in the evening light!
“Peter is amazing. He’s friendly, funny, and put us totally at ease on our special day. The photos were INCREDIBLE and captured our wedding perfectly. We can’t thank and recommend him enough!”
Travelling to Dubai was definitely one of the highlights of the year! I'm so thankful to the couples that brought me out there. Getting to shoot on a yacht and in the desert were firsts for me so I'm hoping 2018 will bring more exciting adventures!
I also got a pug this year and he loves having his photo taken, so I'd throw in a couple of him! His name's Fred.
Meghan & David / Larchfield Estate Wedding
Autumn just has to be one my favourite times to photograph. The weather can be a little unpredictable, but when you get some breaks in the rain, as we did on Meghan & David's wedding day, the light is brilliant.
Following the bridal prep it was off to the ceremony at Knock Presbyterian Church. Before the afternoon celebrations got into full swing we managed to brave the cold and get shooting around the beautiful Larchfield Estate, we only had to hide from the rain once!
They put loads of thought into the decorations and details. Check out the door table plan with a key for each guest. A great idea from the new Mr. & Mrs. Keys!

With many different photo locations close by on the grounds of the Larchfield this allowed the couple lots of time to celebrate with their loved ones before enjoying a beautiful meal and partying the night away to the sounds of The Gents.
